Terms of use and purchase

1. Company, support and scope

The I Need to Call My Mother service is offered by I Need to Call My Mother LLC, 6621 19th Street East, Unit I, Sarasota, Florida 34243, United States. Sole contact: help@ineedtocallmymother.com and Help. Human reply within 24–48 calendar hours. An automatic receipt is not a resolution.

This is the United States legal package (English). The Brazil package is in Portuguese; the Latin America package is in Spanish. Each language shows only that market’s package. While purchases are disabled on the site, these terms describe the conditions of an order when a purchase is offered and accepted. Publishing this text does not open sales.

The order summary, Privacy Policy, Retention, Export and Deletion Policy and the applicable specific authorizations complete the contract. You may keep a copy. Later changes do not apply retroactively to an accepted order and do not remove mandatory rights.

2. Project owner and family content

The account and purchase owner must be at least 18 and able to contract. Paying for the project does not grant rights over another person’s voice, image or story. Submit only material you may use and obtain the required permissions.

The base outline organizes up to 10 chapters: each can have an archive photograph, an AI illustration approved by the family or the account alone (and a QR when there is voice audio); a photo is not required, and pages above the included 120 require acceptance of 15-page blocks. This is not 4 calls, 12 calls or a US$49 product. Artificial-intelligence tools may transcribe, organize and suggest wording. They can be wrong: check names, dates and facts before you approve. The book records family accounts and is not independent historical verification. We do not use facial recognition. We do not clone the mother’s voice, create an avatar of her, or train models on family content. QR codes in the book open excerpts of the original recording of up to 30 seconds.

3. Preview and authorization to begin

The free preview uses resources on your device. A local draft can be lost if you clear data or change devices; keep the originals. The preview alone does not authorize paid upload, online processing or printing.

Personalized preparation starts only after confirmed payment and a separate authorization, saved with one tap. That authorization does not approve the final PDFs, does not authorize extras and does not waive legal cancellation or refund rights.

4. Printed book, pages and configuration

Standard 6 × 9 in: US$129, one copy and up to 120 pages; each started extra block of 15 pages is US$15. Max 8.5 × 8.5 in and Grand 8.5 × 11 in: US$159, one copy and up to 120 pages; each started extra block of 15 pages is US$20. Standard is the initial selection.

Type sizes: 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 and 18 point; default 14. Casewrap hardcover, matte or glossy, no linen. 80# coated white paper, Premium Color or Premium Black & White. We do not add blank pages to justify a charge or reduce the chosen type size without authorization.

Example: 121–135 pages use one block; 136–150 use two. The order records size, actual pages, print and finish.

5. Extra copies and digital products

You may order 0 to 200 extra copies, at most 201 including the included copy, identical in size, interior and cover. Discounts apply only to extras: 0–1 extra 0%; 2 extras 5%; 3 extras 10%; 4 extras 15%; 5–200 extras 20%. The discount does not reduce the base package, page blocks, audio, shipping or taxes. Quantities above 200 extras need a support quote.

The PDF is included with the printed book. The standalone digital product is US$29 (PDF, downloadable photos and recordings, and five years of audio). The initial audio extension for print is US$19. There is no automatic conversion or credit from digital toward print.

6. Quote and payment

Base prices are in U.S. dollars. Before each payment, the summary shows currency, products, extras, discounts, amounts already paid, shipping, known taxes and the total. Bank conversion and fees are separate. Checkout charges only the accepted balance; a paid base package and page blocks are not charged again.

Estimates, tests and saved carts are not confirmed payment. Any import charges must appear in the offer before purchase. Eligible destinations: Brazil and the United States, as shown as available.

7. Cover and interior approval, and printing

You approve separately, with one tap to save, the final cover PDF and the final interior PDF, with version and date. The reading preview is not those files. Later changes require a new approval of the affected parts.

Printing depends on both approvals, the required authorizations, the amount due and production validation. Approving content does not remove the seller’s responsibility for defects or differences between what was approved and what is delivered.

8. Production, shipping and delivery

The schedule allows 90 days for materials, two free 30-day extensions, 21 days to review the text and 14 days to approve each final PDF from the date that file is sent. The period of up to 60 calendar days for the book to reach the address starts with separate cover and interior approvals, signed required authorizations and payment of the amount due. An internal step without a stated deadline does not defer that starting point. Shipping is quoted separately, without an extra company markup, in the printer’s ordinary protective packaging. Using a printer or carrier does not shift the seller’s responsibility onto you.

9. Cancellation, defects and refunds

You may cancel before authorized paid preparation starts, with a refund of the unstarted project. After that start, the commercial policy does not offer cancellation for a mere change of mind, subject to mandatory rights. Remedies remain for defects, wrongful charges, our failures, a broken offer or inability to deliver.

United States package: federal and state consumer protections apply, including Florida where relevant. These terms do not waive those protections. We do not force store credit in place of a refund that is due. Canceling a future audio renewal remains allowed and is independent of these creation rules. Brazilian CDC cooling-off rules are in the Brazil package, not this one.

10. Audio term and QR codes

Print without extension: two years of audio from actual book delivery. The US$29 digital product and print with the US$19 initial extension: five years from the first valid final approval (cover and interior approved separately), with confirmed payment. The extension replaces the two years with five; it does not add five onto two. A later re-approval does not restart a period already started.

Anyone who obtains the link or QR can hear the passage. We do not offer perpetual online hosting. Brand language about keeping memories does not extend the contract term. Files you download remain in your keeping.

11. Optional renewal

Automatic renewal starts unchecked and needs a separate tap to approve and save. Each cycle lasts five years and costs 20% more than the previous cycle, rounded to the cent. Digital: US$29 → US$34.80 → US$41.76. Print extension: US$19 → US$22.80 → US$27.36. Print with only the two included years: the first optional five-year renewal is US$22.80 and is not automatic.

Notices 90, 30 and 7 days before expiry, with date, price and how to cancel. Cancel through the same online means used to enroll or through Help; no phone call is required. Up to 8 payment attempts in 14 days while authorization remains valid. After expiry: 30 days of audio and 90 days of export, in parallel; no automatic deletion in that phase.

12. Rights, AI and optional uses

You and the other rightsholders keep your rights in your materials. The license to the company is limited to preparing, reviewing, delivering, hosting for the contracted term and printing the authorized edition. Advertising, social posts, a public portfolio, general model training and voice cloning do not come with the purchase.

There are two optional AI features, each with its own unchecked tap: (1) AI conversation; (2) AI reading aloud. Neither clones the mother’s voice. An original recording, if any, is never altered; book QR codes play only that original recording. AI reading uses a narrator identified as artificial. In a book for a mother who has died (memorial), the family may choose these features: the AI is not the deceased speaking, does not send messages from her, and does not recreate her voice. Authorizing recording, transcription or printing does not turn on AI conversation or AI reading. This is not medical, psychological or legal advice.

13. Resolving problems

Contact Help or help@ineedtocallmymother.com. You keep the right to go to authorities, consumer bodies and competent courts. We do not impose mandatory arbitration, an exclusive Florida forum, or a generic cap that wipes out legal responsibility. Mandatory consumer law prevails. A translation difference cannot reduce mandatory rights or change the accepted offer.
